Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how the Mandala Me mobile app ("Mandala Me", "we", "us") handles information when you use it. We built Mandala Me to be simple and privacy-friendly: there is no account, no sign-up, and we never ask for your name, email, or contacts.
What we collect
- Anonymous usage analytics. We use PostHog (an analytics tool, hosted in the European Union) to understand how the app is used — for example which screens are opened, which elements, colors, and features are used, and how people navigate the app. This helps us fix problems and improve Mandala Me.
- Session recordings of in-app activity. To see where people get stuck or confused, PostHog may record how you interact with the app's interface (taps, navigation, and on-screen actions) during a session. These recordings capture your interaction with the app — not your identity.
- Basic technical & device data. Device model, operating-system version, app version, language/region, and a randomly generated anonymous device identifier. This does not identify you personally.
What we do not collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or contacts.
- No account or login credentials.
- No precise location.
- We do not access, upload, or store the mandalas you create.
Your creations stay on your device
Every mandala you make is created and stored locally on your device. It is only saved to your Photos — or shared/printed — when you choose to do so. The app requests Photos access solely to save a mandala you export. We never receive a copy of your artwork.
How we use the data
- To understand how the app is used and improve its design and features.
- To find and fix bugs, crashes, and confusing flows.
- To measure overall, aggregated usage and stability.
Sharing
We do not sell your data or use it for advertising. Analytics data is processed on our behalf by our service provider PostHog on servers located in the EU. Apple also processes basic App Store data when you download or update the app, under Apple's own privacy policy.
Data retention
Anonymous analytics and session recordings are retained only as long as needed to improve the app, according to our analytics provider's retention settings, and are then deleted.
Children
Mandala Me is a creative, general-audience app and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
Your choices & rights
Because the data we collect is anonymous and not tied to your identity, we generally cannot single out an individual's records. You can stop all collection at any time by deleting the app. If you have questions or a request regarding your data, contact us and we will do our best to help.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes means you accept the updated policy.
